Within our Oncology business, we strive to advance medicines through robust research and scientific partnerships. With a broad pipeline of next-generation medicines focused on a whole host of various oncology therapies, we’re using personalised technology to redefine oncology care. In this commercial arm of the business, we use a scientific approach to build healthcare strategies that open up access to our innovative and life-improving therapies.

At AstraZeneca, we enhanced scientific presence in immunology and, through Alexion’s innovative complement-biology platform and robust pipeline, will continue to pioneer the discovery and development of medicines for patients with rare diseases. At AstraZeneca, we focus on the discovery, development and commercialisation of prescription medicines in Oncology, BioPharmaceuticals and Rare Disease, including Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism, and Respiratory & Immunology. Our R&D groups are unified in their approach, and united in their purpose to deliver life-changing medicines to people who need them most. By collaborating internally and externally, we aim to accelerate the discovery of novel therapies for unmet medical needs.
